DMCA Notice Requirements
To file a valid DMCA takedown notice, you must include all of the following information:
Contact Information
Your full name, address, phone number, and email address
Identification of Copyrighted Work
Clear identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
Location of Infringing Material
URL(s) or specific location of the allegedly infringing material on REPOST®
Good Faith Statement
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized
Accuracy Statement
A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act
Physical or Electronic Signature
Your physical or electronic signature
Counter-Notification Process
If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may file a counter-notification. Counter-notifications must include consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
Required Elements:
- Your contact information
- Identification of removed material and its location
- Statement under penalty of perjury
- Consent to Delaware federal court jurisdiction
- Your signature
Repeat Infringer Policy
Three-Strike Policy
Three valid DMCA strikes in any 12-month period may result in account termination. We maintain records of all takedown notices and counter-notifications.
Response Timeline
Initial Review
We review all DMCA notices within 24 hours
Action Taken
Valid notices result in content removal within 48 hours
Counter-Notice
Content may be restored 10-14 days after valid counter-notice
